The details
Alta Dispensary is a state-licensed, woman-owned cannabis dispensary at 52A Kenmare St in Manhattan, serving adults 21 and older. It sits in a part of the city that overlaps SoHo, Chinatown, and the East Village, and the shop describes itself as intentional by design, built around the customer rather than the product. The floor is organized by effect, with categories like Rest, Chill, Relief, Focus, Vibe, and Body or Head High, so visitors can start from how they want to feel and work backward from there. The menu covers flower, edibles, vapes, pre-rolls, concentrates, tinctures, topicals, and accessories. Alta also offers free delivery across downtown Manhattan as a fully licensed adult-use dispensary, and hosts several events each month, including pop-ups and community gatherings. A portion of proceeds from those events goes to Heart of Dinner, a local nonprofit that provides a gift-a-meal service to elderly and low-income families. The dispensary is well reviewed by visitors. Hours run Monday to Wednesday 11 AM to 8 PM, Thursday to Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 9 PM.
